The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is a public sector autonomous body responsible for the planning and development of Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. CDA intends to develop Sector I-15, spreading over an area of 746 Acres.
The proposals are invited from reputed international and local cunstruction companies or joint ventures to undertake the Infrastructure Development of Secor I-15 and construction of 10,000 apartments on design, build and financing basis.

Great Opportunities for Investment in Infrastructure and Tourism Sector in Pakistan
Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) intends to develop two great projects which are Corporate Complex and Tourist Village. Both projects would be built under the Public Private Partnership modality, being processed by Infrastructure Project Development Facility (IPDF) – Ministry of Finance.
The Corporate Complex, in addition to housing PTDC’s Head Office, will also house other corporate offices, auditorium, areas for displays, audio/visual centre, and tourism facilitation center. While the Tourist Village is envisaged to include a modern three-star hotel, restaurants, conference halls, theater facilities, gymnasium, health club, indoor sports facilities, swimming pools, tourist handling & promotional offices, shops & sale points of Pakistani cultural products, corporate offices and theme parks, etc.
The investor or operator can be a single company or a consortium of entities that have or can bring together the different skills and resources needed. The invitations for Expression of Interest (EOIs) for both projects are also available here and are solicited from prospective investors and operators by 15 December 2008.

Invitation for Bids of Power Projects in Pakistan
Private Power & Infrastructure Board (PPIB), Ministry of Water & Power, Government of Pakistan, is offering a great opportunity for investment in Pakistan's power sector. In order to cover an immediate power shortage, bids are invited for developing Indepedent Power Producers (IPPs) and Rental Power Projects on Fast Track, with a target date for commissioning in 2009 and 2010.
There are 2 packages in the Bid project: Package I - Project to be commissioned by the end of 2009 which bidders are free to offer IPP Projects or Rental Power Projects within the jurisdiction of Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), and Pakcage II - Project to be commissioned by the end of 2010 which bidders are free to offer IPP Projects within the jurisdiction of PEPCO. Moreover, a bidding period of Pakcage II has been further extended.

A.) Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects of 1000 MW cumulative power generation capacity within the jurisdiction of Paksitan Eelctric Power Company (PEPCO).
B.) Rental Power Project(s) of 200 MW cumulative power generation capacity near Karachi.

A Proposal for Coal Mining Project in Thar, Pakistan
The Government of Sindh invites “Proposals” from companies interested in a project of open cast mining in Thar coalfield in a joint venture with equity participation by the Government of Sindh.
The Government of Sindh, in liaison with the Federal Government, will extend support for
such Joint Venture with an investor-friendly regime of mining licensing, royalty and
regulations; share the exploration data of more than 450 drill holes; facilitate mining
operations by extending infrastructure support; contribute towards equity; and allow
the JV partner, the right to manage the Joint Venture.
The interested companies may send their “Proposals” with possible formats of such joint venture and Company’s profile with last year’s Balance Sheet. The Proposals should reach the following address by 15th of June 2008. The Government of
